A distributed scalable computing framework

Introduction

Project Aldeburgh is a long-term project to design and build a resilient, scalable and secure distributed computing framework on which it will be to possible to build computer systems which can transcend geographic and technological boundaries.

This is a personal project that I have been working on for many years, on-and-off. The design goals have been revised and updated over time, and I have reconsidered the approach a number of times, but there is now stability in my idea.

I have put these pages together to document the project, and to put my ideas 'out there' to get feedback and community input. If you have any comments or suggestions, please email me at cdm.henderson@googlemail.com.
